Online Appendix for Communication and Decision-Making in Corporate Boards

چکیده
Fear of CEO retaliation is one of the important reasons for pressure for conformity in the boardroom. In this section, I analyze two extensions that incorporate fear of the CEO into directorspreferences. I show that in both extensions, similarly to the basic model, pressure for conformity at the decision-making stage can have an overall positive e¤ect on rm value because it encourages more communication.
